This is not an "obey them" discussion, it is about respecting everybody. I'm not from USA so I don't know each of the discussions that there is going on there and there will be cultural differences between west-Europe standards and USA standards. With sports, I trust that most sport organisations will protect competitiveness of the sport; as trans people have been allowed in the olympics for the past 2 olympics under fitting conditions (including max testosterone level) without them winning a single medaille. But I understand for competitive sports you want to be reserved, this does not mean they should be excluded from sports in its entirety (non-competitive). (look at John Oliver's episodes on transgender rights, but reading your comments; I suspect that you will dismiss anything he says. )
